Proceeds support Airdrie's Youth
Through our Laces for Learning initiative, Kiwanis Airdrie is helping local kids start the school year on the right foot.
We are providing $25 gift cards (distributed through Community Links) so families in need can purchase gym shoes at Walmart. A simple pair of shoes can make a big difference in a child’s comfort, confidence, and ability to participate at school.
We believe it’s never too early to spark a love of reading! With our Books for Babies project, every family in Airdrie welcoming a newborn receives a special basket from the local public health nurses. Inside, we include a board book—a gift from Kiwanis Airdrie, in partnership with the Airdrie Public Library.
It’s a small way to encourage literacy and bonding from day one.
✨ Together, these projects help children in our community learn, grow, and thrive.
Supporting education is one of the most meaningful ways we can invest in our community’s future. Each year, Kiwanis Airdrie awards two scholarships of $1,000 to local students pursuing post-secondary education.
These scholarships recognize hard work, leadership, and a commitment to making a difference. By helping students take the next step in their education, we’re proud to support tomorrow’s leaders—today.
At Kiwanis Airdrie, we’re always looking for new ways to serve children, families, and the community. In addition to our current projects, we are excited to explore new initiatives that bring long-lasting impact.
Right now, we’re especially interested in:
Leadership Development: Supporting local schools and youth groups with teamwork and confidence-building programs.
Community Partnerships: Collaborating with local businesses to help Airdrie families thrive.
Volunteer Spotlight: We are currently seeking Face Painters specifically for the Bark in the Park event on May 30th!
Ideas From You: If you see a specific need in Airdrie that Kiwanis could help meet, we want to hear your thoughts!
